David A. Bornn is a senior business adviser with Marjorie Rawls Roberts PC and advises clients in the energy, hospitality, general business and real estate sectors, among others. David was previously Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor of the US Virgin Islands for four years. David is a native-born Virgin Islander with deep roots in the business, professional, and political communities of the territory.
David graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with B.A. degree in history and received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
David has practised transaction law since 1981 in the USVI, including his own firm, THE BORNN FIRM. The firm represented clients from throughout the Virgin Islands and elsewhere. Most recently, David served as Chief Legal Counsel to Governor Albert Bryan Jr from 2019–22.
David is admitted to practise law in the courts of the USVI and US District Court for the Virgin Islands.
Coupled with his legal experience, David’s life experience has been deeply rooted in the VI community and he has been a board member or participated in multiple community and business organizations.
