Mr. DiRuzzo is both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant focusing on tax controversy and litigation, estate planning, asset protection, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and acquisitions, cross border transactions and entity structuring, distressed debt work outs, customs disputes, fraud detection and litigation, financial statement disclosures, and corporate governance.
Mr. DiRuzzo was admitted to the Florida State Bar in 2002, the New Jersey Bar and the New York Bar in 2006, and the USVI Bar in 2008. He was licensed by the Florida Board of Accountancy as a CPA in 2008. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts of the Southern District of Florida, the Middle District of Florida, the District of New Jersey, the Southern District of New York, and the District of the Virgin Islands; the United States Tax Court; the United States Court of International Trade; the Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, and Eleventh Circuits; and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. DiRuzzo is graduate of Mary Washington College (B.S. in Business Administration and International Affairs, 1999). Distinctions include Sigma Beta Delta, Phi Alpha Theta, Pi Gamma Mu. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 2002 where he concentrated his course work on taxation and litigation. After law school Mr. DiRuzzo received a Bachelor of Accounting, Cum Laude, from Florida International University in 2006 and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 2009.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. DiRuzzo was an associate of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York City, where he worked in the international taxation department. While at PwC, Mr. DiRuzzo worked on numerous projects including a Fortune 100 company's 500 Million dollar divestiture and global restructuring, FAS 109 and FIN 48 tax accounting calculations and disclosures, and numerous M&A deals. In addition, after law school Mr. DiRuzzo was employed by the Office of the Public Defender in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During his time at the Public Defender's Office he tried over 35 jury trials and handled all stages of the litigation including pre-trial discovery and post trial appeals.
